In the United States and its protectorates all portable nuclear gauge operators are required by NRC or Agreement State regulations to receive formal radiation safety training. L.T.S. conducts one day courses which satisfy NRC and Agreement State requirements, as well as US DOT training requirements for 49 CFR 172, Subpart H. A certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.

Nuclear Gauge Safety Training $159.00 per person

All classes begin at 8 am. A quiz will be given with a minimum passing score required for certification.

A complete manual will be provided for course work and future reference, along with certification of course attendance.

HAZMAT Re-certification $59.00 per. person

Every L.T.S. Gauge Safety Training class has a portion that satisfies US DOT training requirements of 49 CFR 172, subpart H (HAZMAT) for individuals shipping or transporting hazardous materials. Recurrent training is required every 3 years (every 2 years if gauges are shipped by air [e.g., FedEx]). Simply attend the HAZMAT session (starting at 1:00 p.m.) of this class to update your HAZMAT certification. When the session ends, everyone takes the required HAZMAT test.
