New Mandatory Ohio Minimum Wage Effective January 1st, 2012
Minimum wage for 2012 has been updated and it is mandatory to post by every employer effective January 1st, 2012. Minimum wage was increased for all tipped and non-tipped employees. The Constitutional Amendment passed by Ohio voters in November 2006 states that Ohio’s minimum wage shall increase on January 1 of each year by the rate of inflation. The state minimum wage is tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for urban wage earners and clerical workers for the 12-month period prior to September.

New Mandatory NLRA Posting Required
On August 25, 2011 the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued the final rule requiring nearly all private-sector employers to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) by posting a notice.
