Award-winning local oil artist Kathy Quick Anderson will be our opening Featured Artist for the 2011 in the Phippen Museum Store. Kathy is an oil painter, specializing in Southwestern landscapes and Western art. As the Museum Store's Featured Artist, a number of her paintings will be on display and for sale in the Museum Store beginning February 1, 2011. Born on the East Coast, Kathy's family moved to Arizona when she was a small child. Frequent trips around the West early in life helped develop a love of the land, the rocks, mountains and canyons that she saw. Kathy shows and sells yearly at the Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Miniature Show, in 2003 she won Phippen Award.
